Meet the Speaker

Melanie Atkinson

Melanie is an audiologist and clinical coordinator with a passion for paediatrics, where she has spent the past 2.5 years growing both professionally and personally. Since stepping into the field, she has been fortunate to have incredible learning opportunities—from developing clinical guidelines, processes and procedures to training. Her role embraces challenges across a wide range of areas, including deepening my expertise in Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), which continues to be a rewarding focus.

Outside of work, she recharges through running, swimming, and diving into science and medicine podcasts. Her free time is joyfully consumed by being a taxi driver, cheerleader, and advocate for her boys—and trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to train their very stubborn pug.
