After working for several years as an audiologist in the UK, Michael completed his PhD in 2010 at The University of Manchester. The topic was plasticity of the human binaural auditory system. He then completed a 3-year post-doctoral research programme that built directly on the underpinning work carried out during his PhD. Since 2015 Michael has worked for the Interacoustics Academy, group of audiologists based in Denmark who offer training and education in audiological and vestibular diagnostics worldwide and offer a link between clinical or research institutes and their industry partners. In 2017 Michael and his family relocated to New Zealand where he is pursuing his research and clinical interests at the University of Auckland and Auckland District Health Board, respectively.
