Philippa james

Philippa James earned a Master of Clinical Audiology in 2012 from The University of Melbourne and a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Florida in 2017. Philippa is working within the global Phonak paediatric team, and with the Sonova HQ Research & Development team, to develop a clinical model for the audiologic management of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Philippa is based at the department of Audiology & Speech Pathology at The University of Melbourne. She runs an Audiology clinic for children with ASD and conducts research focused on functional listening and attention in children with ASD. Philippa’s clinic involves assessing children’s hearing and auditory processing skills and offering remediation options to those who present with difficulties. Her prior work history includes hearing aid fitting and counselling, and auditory processing assessment and management.
