Meriana works as an audiologists at the Eye and Ear hospital. She works in the outpatients department in the Audiology / Balance Disorders and Ataxia Service and also the Cochlear Implant Clinic which provides an audiology service. Prior to audiology she was a registered nurse working in the operating theatre for a few years before making the career change. Having a medical background, particularly in a high pressure environment, has helped her immensely in her current audiology role.Merina’s workday primarily consists of diagnostic hearing and vestibular testing. It is a very busy, fast-paced clinic and excellent time management is crucial in this environment. She completed her graduate year in this clinic which was challenging but it is a wonderful workplace for developing high standard clinical skills in a well-supported team.
