Davina Ross is currently the Head of Audiology and Training at bloom hearing specialists Australia and New Zealand. Davina received her Masters in Audiology in 2013 from the University of Melbourne. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne receiving a Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Science combined degree in 2001, majoring in genetics and linguistics. Whilst starting her career in paediatrics, both rehabilitation (Australia) and diagnostics (Scotland), she has found she particularly enjoys educating clinicians and enabling them to provide excellent hearing health care to their clients.
Her career has provided many opportunities to perform leadership roles and her humanistic and collaborative approach to leadership has seen her success in a range of roles from Area Manager, to National Clinical Educator, and Retail Manager NZ. Her career has focused on Rehabilitation where she has always seen the importance of good relationships for successful outcomes for hearing impaired clients. She has held a range of positions across the industry, but always finds herself drawn to the education of clinicians, particularly graduates. She is very proud of having established the bloom hearing Graduate Program in 2018 and is enjoying seeing this program grow from strength to strength. She is known for her coaching leadership style and enjoys empowering clinicians to change their behaviours to achieve rewarding outcomes - for both themselves and their clients. She has built a career that relies on good relationships and communication with her colleagues, peers, direct reports and audiology network, and is keen to share some of those skills with some of the Audiology industry’s newest recruits.
