Kathy spent most of her 30-year professional career in the Northern Territory, working in Indigenous hearing health care, as a clinician and in policy and system development. She recently commenced as an Audiology Partner with Specsavers in Albury and Wodonga. It was her first role in a commercial based audiology position and required a comfort and confidence to engage clients in the "money" discussion. In the beginning she felt very unprepared and uncomfortable with this aspect the job. It took considerable reflection to develop fluency in these unfamiliar discussions. Central to this was aligning the "money" discussion with values of fairness and honesty and remaining true to her professionalism.
