Hello, My name is Meriana and I’m one of the audiologists at the Eye and Ear hospital. I work in the outpatients department in the Audiology / Balance Disorders and Ataxia Service. We also have the Cochlear Implant Clinic which provides an audiology service. 

Prior to audiology I was a registered nurse working in the operating theatre for a few years before I made the career change. Having a medical background, particularly in a high pressure environment, has helped me immensely in my current audiology role.

My workday primarily consists of diagnostic hearing and vestibular testing. It is a very busy, fast-paced clinic and excellent time management is crucial in this environment. I completed my graduate year in this clinic which was challenging but it is a wonderful workplace for developing high standard clinical skills in a well-supported team.
