Kim Ter-Horst

Kim Ter-Horst is a experienced paediatric audiologist with a particular interest in working with children for whom audiometry doesn’t come easily. Undergraduate qualifications in professional Psychology lead to postgraduate studies in Audiology at Macquarie University, after which Kim joined NAL and Australian Hearing in a mixed paediatric / adult role. In 2003 Kim moved to her current role as senior audiologist at the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) Jim Patrick Audiology Centre (JPAC). In this diagnostic role Kim has developed special interests in Autism Spectrum Disorder, neonatal hearing screening, vision impairment and Australian Sign Language.

Danielle Tres

Danielle Tres is the Head of Audiology for Oticon Australia. She is responsible for training, audiological and technical support, and the introduction of new products throughout Australia. Danielle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology, and a Post-Graduate degree in Neurological Rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating hearing loss, both in private clinics and hospital settings.  Danielle has also worked for the Victorian Deaf Society, specialising in clients with a severe-to-profound hearing loss. She joined Oticon Australia in 2011 as their Regional Audiologist and Sales Manager, became the National Audiology Manager in 2016 and took the title Head of Audiology last year.



Shaani Graves

Shaani Graves has been an Audiologist for 27 years and is Head of Audiology at Monash Health. 
She has extensive experience with infant and paediatric diagnostic audiology and also has an interest in clinical supervision and clinical educator support. She has facilitated Teaching on the Run Master classes at the Audiology Australia national conference in 2012 and the International Congress of Audiology in 2014. In addition she has collaborated with Audiology Australia and the TELL Centre to develop audiology specific supervision scenarios which are available to support audiology interns and clinical educators into the future. 
She has represented Audiology on a variety of Victorian department of Health reference groups. As the Head of Audiology Shaani is responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the audiology services at Monash Health.



Matthew Grounds

Matthew has worked as Principal Audiologist at Hearservice since 2011 and as General Manager since 2013.  Previously he was with Australian Hearing in a variety of clinical and management roles for 28 years. Hearservice is a division of Vicdeaf , a not-for-profit community-based organisation  which provides a range of services to the Deaf and hard of hearing community in Victoria and also in Tasmania through Tasdeaf.  Hearservice has provided Audiology, Rehabilitation, Information, and Prevention services for over 40 years.

Tim Rayner

Tim started work 30 years ago for The Health Department of Victoria in the Sunbury CHC. In 1990 he was appointed at Warrnambool Base Hospital as Chief Audiologist. He also began a private practice in September 1990 working with an ENT in Mt Gambier and a small rehabilitation clinic.

In 2000 Tim moved into full time private practice in Warrnambool and regional areas throughout Western Victoria. 
The practice specialises with diagnostics and paediatrics. It has close relationships with regional  ENT specialists. 
It has been involved with infant diagnosis have been very early in installing ABR equipment in May 1991. The clinic has a complement of five Audiologist and covers six regional clinics. These include a public appointment to Wimmera Health Care Group (Horsham).

He is currently enrolled in a Master Sciences (Aural rehabilitation) Queen Margaret University Edinburgh specialising in Service provision. He is also heavily involved in graduate teaching and also with Audiology Australia in the new Internship revamped program. He has a strong dedication to paediatrics service for all through regional areas.



Jacinta Gerin

Jacinta Gerin is an audiologist with more than 25 years’ experience.  She currently manages a large hearing centre at Australian Hearing.  She has vast clinical experience in paediatric diagnostic assessment and paediatric hearing aid fitting.  Jacinta also previously worked as a clinical supervisor and lecturer at the University of Melbourne School of Audiology with a focus on paediatric work.

Joey Remenyi

Joey is a Vestibular Audiologist, registered Senior Yoga Teacher and Mindfulness Educator who has worked with the University of Melbourne Balance Disorders Clinic since 2008.  She has 18-years of mindfulness practice and is passionate about supporting patients through their own unique recovery process.
Using patient-centred and multidisciplinary models of rehabilitation, Joey has developed innovative ways to support vertigo and tinnitus patients based on the phenomena of neuro-plasticity.

She teaches mindfulness skills to both patients with chronic symptoms and to health professionals who wish to use mindfulness in their own clinic.

Joey is the director at Seeking Balance Australia, a vestibular and mindfulness clinic that offers online support programs and telehealth video sessions for clients to have accessible support anytime of day, from anywhere in the world.

Joey is a pioneering audiologist and she encourages others to think outside of the box and get great results.
