Dr. Joaquin T. Valderrama is a 'Ramón y Cajal' Fellow at the Department of Signal Theory, Telematics, and Communications, University of Granada, Spain. He is a leading international researcher in auditory science, with a consistent record of publications in high-impact journals, contributions to innovation, and efforts in public science communication. His current research focuses on employing signal-processing techniques to identify biomarkers for early detection of hearing loss and advancing the understanding of how the human auditory system processes complex stimuli, including binaural cues and natural speech.
